INDIVIDUAL ENTRIES

Online entries are now open on the Fabian4 website, along with a list of current individual entries.

Please make sure you enter the correct class: many of you will move up to a new age class in 2008!

A paper entry form (PDF format) is also available to download. Postal entries should be sent to: JK 2008, 168A Bellegrove Road, Welling, Kent, DA16 3RD.

A postal entry form can also be obtained by sending a stamped addressed envelope to the Entries Secretary. If you require confirmation of a postal entry, please provide an e-mail address, or a stamped, self-addressed envelope with your entry.

RELAY ENTRIES

Online entries are now open on the Fabian4 website, along with a list of current relay entries .

A paper entry form (PDF format) is also available to download. Postal entries should be sent to: JK 2008, 168A Bellegrove Road, Welling, Kent, DA16 3RD.

As a condition of land use, all competitors will be required to sign a disclaimer which states “I accept that I take part in all activities in Eridge Park at my own risk and that the Estate does not accept any liability for any loss, damage or accident howsoever caused”.

Sheets to sign this disclaimer for adults will be immediately before map issue.

Club Captains are responsible for obtaining signatures from parents or guardians on behalf of competitors below the age of 18. The Eridge disclaimer form should be downloaded from the JK2008 website, signed prior to the event by parents or guardians not attending the event, signed in advance or on Day 2 or Day 3 for parents or guardians attending and brought to Relay Registration by the Club Captain no later than 4 p.m. on Day 3. Earlier would be preferable.
Failure to sign on the day by any adult competitor, or to have signed in advance through a valid signed disclaimer for those under 18, will lead to non-issue of the map.

You can now download the necessary form for signature. This only applies to under 18s. Everyone else will be asked to sign when they enter the start pen at the relay.

Entry fees are regrettably higher than last year due to the high cost of Land access.

There may be further entries available after these last dates, depending on the availability of start times and printed maps, but please do not depend on this, as you are likely to be disappointed.

Explanation of Classes and Entry Fees

1.    For age restricted relay classes (E to L), use the sum of the competitors’ age classes applicable for the 2008 calendar year.  The sum must be equal to or greater than (Classes E, F, G, H), or equal to or less than (Classes J, K, L) the cumulative “age” stipulated for the Class. Do not use the actual ages of the competitors for this purpose. [ e.g. M45 + M65 + M55 = 165 ]
2.    For junior classes (J, K, and L) no entrant may be above M/W 20.
3.    For the Mini Relay (class M) all entrants must be M/W 12 or below.
4.    Class N is open to teams (M and/or W) comprising members of different clubs.
5.    Laps will be run in the order shown except for class N (Mixed Ad Hoc) which will have lap lengths jumbled up. The running order will be shown on the Team Declaration Form.
6.    Junior fees will apply to Junior classes only. Juniors running in any class other than J, K, L, M     will be charged the same entry as a Senior runner in that class. (i.e. the entry fee applies to the     relay class entered, not to an individual runner).
7.    The Mini Relay is technical level 2.
8.    To be competitive in classes A to M all runners must be from the same club (UK or overseas) or (for classes A and B only) be members of an approved Neighbouring Club Alliance under BOF Guideline M.

CANCELLATION OF OR CHANGES IN ENTRIES

Individuals and teams may cancel, amend or transfer entries already made via the internet at any time until the 7th March. Cancellations will be subject to an administration charge. Individuals and teams may cancel, amend or transfer entries already made by any method, by e-mail or post to the Entries Secretary, to be received by 18th March. Refunds will be paid on such cancellations, subject to a charge of £2 per competitor per day for administration. Relay class changes after 7th March can made subject to new class map availability with an admin charge of £2 per competitor.

Should the event, or part of the event, be cancelled, the organisers reserve the right to retain all or part of entry fees to cover committed costs.
