Travel Information CAUTIONARY NOTES about Junction 5 on the M25: it is an irregular junction! Many competitors will use M25 Junction 5 to approach the Crowborough Event Centre and the Relay Day. - Travelling south on M25 from Dartford Crossing, please note that at Junction 5, the M25 leaves to the left,and the A21(A26) goes straight on (i.e.the right hand lanes). USE RIGHT HAND LANES for A21 (A26).
- Travelling from the west on M25, please note that at Junction 5 the M25 leaves to the left, and M26 and A21 goes straight on (i.e. right hand lanes). USE RIGHT HAND LANES M26 and EXIT FOR A21 JUST AFTER FIRST BRIDGE CROSSING OVERHEAD
- Travelling from the east on M26, it joins the M25 at M25 Junction 5. Please note that you cannot make a turn south onto the A21 here. If coming from this direction (east), exit at M26 Junction 2A and use A25 westward to join A21, west of Sevenoaks. An error at Junction 5 on M25 can take you as much as 11 miles out of your way before you can turn back!
All roads on Ashdown Forest (except A22 ) have a 40 mph speed limit. There is substantial provision for car parking in Crowborough and all appears to be free of charge.
